1917 - 2010
At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Friday, October 29, 2010 of Lorne Lea Francis of Stratford, age 93 years. Beloved husband of M. Erma J. Francis (nee Rankin). Dear father of Ronald, Ottawa, Ontario and Lorna Worrell (Peter), Thunder Bay, Ontario. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Weston and Catherine (Duggan) Francis and by his eleven siblings. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home from where the funeral will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Visitation Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church or CNIB.

Aubin Bruce Gallant

2015
The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Sunday, February 22, 2015 of Aubin Gallant, husband of the late Evelyn (nee Pineau), veteran of the Canadian Army during the Second World War, of North Rustico, aged 90. 

Aubin was the father of Francis Gallant (Elaine Quinn), Red Deer, Alberta, Debbie MacFarlane (Danny), North Rustico, Barry Gallant (Delores Richard), North Rustico and Shirley Dunfield (Karl), North Rustico; grandfather of Denise Grant (Larry), Carla Parsons (Kent), Sasha Dunfield, Nevin Dunfield, Bonnie Gallant and Bruce Gallant; and great-grandfather of Jessica, Janelle, Jackie, Curtis, Taylor, Brodie, Brooklyn and Landon. He is also survived by his sister, Dorothy Ritchie (Vaughan), Moncton, New Brunswick; sisters-in-law, Eileen Gallant, Edna Gallant and Anita Gallant; and many nieces and nephews. 

Besides his wife Evelyn, he was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Beatrice (Gauthier) Gallant; brothers, Joe, Eddy, Reggie, Francis, Stephen, Rene, Walter and Tommy; and sister, Lilla Gallant.

Charles "Charlie" Gallant

1946 - 2013
The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 of Charles “Charlie” Gallant of Johnstons River, age 67 years. Beloved husband of Mabel (nee Taylor) and father of Darcy, Bobby and Scott. Grandfather of Meagan, Emma, Nash, Taylor, Dash and Samantha. Survived by his brothers Ricky, Johnny, Eric, Ray, Gene, Henry and sister Judy. Predeceased by his parents Charlie and Carrie Gallant. 

Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. Funeral Saturday from the Kirk of St. James at 10 a.m. Interment in UnionRoadCemetery. Flowers gratefully declined, however if so desired, donations to the Kirk of St. James or the Salvation Army would be appreciated. Visiting hours Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. and at the Kirk of St. James on Saturday from 9:30 until the time of the service. James Gallant

2014
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince Edward Home, Charlottetown, on Friday, November 7, 2014, of James Gallant, beloved husband of Marie Gallant (nee Doiron), of Cornwall, aged 83.
James was the cherished father of Barbara Knox (Grant Rowland), Victor (Richard Rodgers), and Karl (Karen); grandfather of Toni-Marie Knox (Graeme Webster) and Karinna Knox; Todd Gallant, Karri-Ann Gallant (J.R. Poirier) and Ryan Gallant; and great-grandfather of Elliott Jim Webster; who will all miss him dearly. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Rita Blanchard (Reggie), Josephine Chaisson (Jerome) and Cecilia MacLean; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Joseph Elmer Gallant

1920 - 2008
The death occurred at the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home on Thursday, November 20th, 2008 of Mr. J. Elmer Gallant of Charlottetown, age 88 years. Beloved husband of the late Kathleen “Kay” Gallant. He will be lovingly remembered by his sister Brenda Edgar of Charlottetown. 

He was predeceased by his parents Joseph H. and Mary (Bernard) Gallant. 

Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 9:45 Saturday morning, then transferred to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in the family plot at Cavendish Community Cemetery.

Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, the death occurred of Joseph Gallant, of Stratford, age 97 years. Beloved husband of the late Roberta Gallant (nee Edmonds). Loving father of George (Brenda), David (Joan), Linda Milligan (Dave), Joanne, Lawrence and Rosie Peters (Mike). Joseph will be missed by his brother Clarence (Mary - deceased); 13 Grandchildren and 13 Great-Grandchildren and sister-in-law Auldine Gallant. He was predeceased by son - Elric Gallant; parents - Maglorie and Eugena (nee Haché) Gallant and brothers - Faustin (Theresa), Oscar (Patricia) and Cedric and sister - Eileen Blacquiere (Art). Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation Sunday, January 13, 2019, from 4-8 p.m. The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 1 will hold a tribute service prior to visitation at 3:30 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, January 14, 2019 at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Stratford, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be held later at Our Lady of the Assumption Cemetery. At her residence, on Friday, April 20, 2018 of Mabel E. Gallant of Johnstone’s River, age 69 years. Wife of the late Charles Gallant. Loving mother of D’Arcy (Tracey), Bobby (Dawn) and Skot, Alex, Nita, Dela and the late Matthew. Nanny of Meagan, Nash, Emma, Taylor, Dash, and Samantha. Survived by brother Dan (Cheryl) Taylor, nephews Jamie and Kurt Taylor and special niece Christina Schiraizza (Steve Calestan). Sister-in-law of Ray (Kim), Eric (Sue), Gene (Ruth), Johnny (Lois), Henry, Judy (Bob), and Rick (Donna). Also surived by dear friend Susanna Buote. Predeceased by parents Fred and Hazel Taylor.

Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Coady, Kristen, Gillian, Nicholas, Brenna and Hunter. Brother of Louis (Connie), Rendle (Sandra), Rodger (Colleen), Blaine (Lorraine), Carol Gass (Ralph), Rayola Coulson (Robert). Brother-in-law of Darlene Gauthier. Step-father of Randy Malone, Jeff Malone (Peggy) and Alana Vail (Rodney, deceased). Predeceased by his parents Raymond and Olive (McCabe) Gauthier and by his brother Leigh. Raymond Victor Genge

1922 - 2012
Peacefully at the Veterans wing of Taigh Na Mara Nursing Home, Glace Bay, Nova Scotia where he was a resident for seven years and formerly of Desable, PEI of Raymond Victor Genge in his 90th year. Born in Port Aux Basques, NFLD, he was the son of the late George Thomas and Annie (Vardy) Genge. He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his children Roy (Veda) Genge of Charlottetown, Shirlee (John) Cruickshank of Point Edward, Cape Breton; his grandchildren Nicole (Shawn) Genge, Kamala (Steve) Brown, Raylee (Chris) Morrissey, Jonathan Cruickshank, Joel-Raun Cruickshank, Chelsea (Eric) Lacasse and seven great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by his wife Daisy (Hambly), brothers Morley, George, Roland, Gilbert and sisters Beatrice and Muriel. 

Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel from where the service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment later in Clifton Cemetery. Lovingly remembered by his brother, Ronald George (Saanichton, B.C.), grandchildren, Christopher Gray (Margo Bulpitt), Halifax; Kimberly Hinds (Chris), Ottawa; Peter Gaudet (Tajia), Calgary; Michael Gaudet (Janelle Wright), Calgary; Jennifer Drake (Jonathan), Vernon Bridge and Eric Coffin, Oyster Bed Bridge. Great-grandfather of Emily Gaudet, Caleb Drake, Ella Drake and Bridget Gray. Mourned by numerous nieces and nephews.
