Leaman Lewis Murl

1922 - 2009
At The Prince Edward Island Atlantic Baptist Nursing Home, Charlottetown on Friday, February 6, 2009 of Mr. Leaman Lewis Murl of Charlottetown aged 86 years.

Beloved husband of Vera Murl (nee O'Brien) and loving father of Brenda (Joe)Gallant, Douglas, Jack (Rhonda), Ray, David (Darlene) Perry and step-father to Howard (Vera) O'Brien. Leaman will also be sadly missed but fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Darren, Janaya, Douglas, Trevor, John, Tamara and great grandchildren, Ethan and Josie.

Resting at The Charlottetown Funeral Home, 33/35 Longworth Avenue from where the funeral service will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Reverend Henry Tye officiating. Interment later in the spring in the family plot at Freetown United Church Cemetery.

Branch #1 of The Royal Canadian Legion will hold A Veteran's Tribute Service for their late comrade at the funeral home on Sunday evening at 6:45 P.M.

At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Wednesday, March 4, 2009, of Raymond J. (Ray) Murphy of Charlottetown, age 85 years. Dear father of Bernetta (Vernon Cheverie), Ray (Susan) and Frank (Darlene). Loving grandfather of Kerry, Ray, Daryl, Sean, Chris, Erin, Lori, Ryan and Aaron. Lovingly remembered by his great-grandchildren, Sam, Robert, Elizabeth, Emily, Katie, Chelsey, Zoe, Finn, Kole, Brady, Haley and Brianna. Brother of Frank (Delta) and Joyce Clory. Predeceased by his wife, Diane (nee Gorveatt); by his grandson, Darin; and by his sisters, Mary, Rosella, Sheila and Helen. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home from where the funeral will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday at 1:30 p.m. Interment later in People’s Cemetery, Charlottetown. 1920 - 2008
Peacefully at the Peel Manor Nursing Home, Brampton, Ontario on Friday, September 26, 2008 of Mr. Gordon T. Mutch age 88 years. Dear brother of Keith and his friend Hazel. He is also survived by his adopted family, Darla (Julio) Fox and their son, Mason and many cousins. Predeceased by his parents, Hope & Bessie (Tanton) Mutch. 

Resting at the Cutcliffe Funeral Home where the funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, October 4, 2008 at 3 p.m. Interment to follow in Clifton-Bunbury Cemetery. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.

1922 - 2009
Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 of Mr. Joseph “Joe” Myers, of Andrew’s Lodge and formerly of Covehead, in his 87th year. 

Dear father of Marie (Joe) Hynes of Codroy Valley, N.L. and Terry (Kim) Myers of Pleasant Grove. He is also survived by four loving grandchildren Brody, Mathieu, Marcy and Nicole; his sister Caroline “Carrie” Burt of York. 

He was predeceased by his parents William and Katherine (nee Venoit) Myers, sisters and brothers Irene, Irving, Alfred, Jack, Kay, Bernard and Charlie, Maida and Bernie O’Brien. 

Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 2 p.m. Thursday then transferred to St. Eugene’s Church, Covehead for funeral mass at 2:30 p.m. Interment to follow in the parish cemetery.

Preston Alfred Waldo Neill

1920 - 2012
Peacefully at his late residence, with family by his side, on Sunday, February 19, 2012, of Preston Alfred Waldo Neill of North Milton, age 91 years.  Veteran of WW II.  Devoted and loving husband for 66 years to Elizabeth "Beth" Neill (nee Mountain).  Dear son of the late John R. and Lilla (Seaman) Neill.  He is survived by daughters:  Glenda (Arthur) Masey, Oshawa, Ontario: Sheila (Ross) Harrington, Spring Valley, PE: Sharon (Dale) MacIntosh, North Vancouver, BC and son Therin (Jean) Neill, Milton, PE.  Grandchildren Gwendy Harrington, Bob Harrington, Amanda (Ryan) Windsor, Steven MacIntosh (Sydney Gudmundson), Janna (Johan) VanWalderveen, Angela Neill (Chad MacDonald), Jeffery Neill (Chelsea MacGregor).  Special grandchildren: Terri (Tyler) Mason and Steven Clarke, Pam and Art Jr. Masey.   Great-grandchildren: Emily and Nathan VanWalderveen, MacKenzie, Alex and Charli Mason, Chloe and Jason Lechance.  Also survived by sisters-in-law: Hattie (late James) Johnston, Summerside, PE; Blanche (late Keith) Bowness, Alberton, PE and several nieces and nephews.  He  was predeceased by his daughter Tracey Dawn Neill, sisters: Rena (late Peter) MacCaull, Violet Norrie-Bruce (late Earle Norrie and late Arnold Bruce), Rosamond (Late David) Pattie and Orva Neill, and brother Irving (late Mary) Neill.  Also predeceased by sister-in-law Lila (late Ralph) Squarebriggs and Muriel (late Jack) Nisbet.  Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home from where the funeral will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday at 2:30 p.m.  Interment in Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery, North Milton.  Visitation on Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.  Memorial donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation , Grace Baptist Church Building Fund or the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

At Beach Grove Home on Monday, January 2, 2012 of Eric Reginald O’Hanley, of Winsloe, age 81 years.  Dear father of Pat Coulson (Earl), Summerside;  Allen (Karen), Ottawa;  David (Judy), Charlottetown;  Dennis (Karen), Kingston, ON and Paul (Sasha), Kingston, PE.   Loving grandfather to Hannah, Justin, Katelyn, Trent, Ryan, Graeme, Patrick and Alexander.   Predeceased by his wife Anna Rosemary "Jill"  (nee Mair), by his parents Percy and Maude (Buffet) O’Hanley, by his sister Joyce and by his brothers Percy, Claude and David.  Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home from where the funeral will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday at 10 a.m.  Private family interment later in St. David’s United Church Cemetery, Georgetown.  No visitation by personal request.  Family and friends are invited to a reception at the funeral home immediately following the service .  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of PEI . 

Joseph Richard "Joe" Paquet

1923 - 2011
The death occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 of Mr. Joseph R. "Joe" Paquet, of Andrews of Stratford and formerly of Sherwood, aged 88 years. Beloved husband of the late Vernita (nee MacKenzie) Paquet. 

Dear father of Nancy (Pat) Callaghan, Anne Stevenson, and Martha (David) Godkin. Joe is also fondly remembered by his grandchildren Jeffery and Matthew Callaghan, Brian and Andrew Stevenson, Sarah and Jeremy Godkin, great-grandchildren Jillian and Cohen, brothers Louis (Ida) of Montreal, Elmer (Anita) of Charlottetown, James (Mary) of Charlottetown, Gerard (Valerie) of St. John, sister Peggy (Clark) Gallant of Stanhope, and sister-in-law Eileen of Stratford. 

He was predeceased by his brothers Edward and John. 

Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 9:45 on Friday morning, then transfered to St. Pius X Church for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in the family plot at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Valley.

Edward Pendergast RCN (veteran of the Second World War) of Charlottetown and formerly of Kensington, P.E.I. and Riverview, N.B. in his 86th year. Beloved husband of the late Donalda (nee MacDonald) Pendergast and dear father of John Pendergast of Halifax, N.S., Liz Pendergast (Paul Shaw) of Stratford, Donald Pendergast of Charlottetown and Katherine Pendegast (Donnie Arsenault) of Egmont Bay. He is also survived by five loving grandchildren Jared, Erin, Madeline, Emily and Robyn; brothers and sisters, Patricia Stanyer of Richmond, B.C., Austin (Ethel) Pendergast of Darnley, Tom (Sheilgh) Pendergast of North Bay, Ont., Eugene "Casey" Pendergast of Bedford, N.S., Frances (Tom) McSwiggan of Ottawa, Ont. and Fr. Arthur Pendergast of Palmer Road; sister-in-law, Eileen Pendergast of St. Louis, P.E.I. He was predeceased by his parents James and Gertrude (nee Cullen) Pendergast; infant son, Fraser; twin sister, Mary and brothers, Reg and Bill. Joseph Leonard Peters of Charlottetown, on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, age 91 years.
Life member of the Royal Canadian Legion and West Nova Scotia Regiment. Beloved husband of the late Vera Martin, and dear father of Brian (Cathie), Judy (Bernie) Totten, John (Cathy), Gordie (Rena), Joyce (Mike) Carmichael, and Paul (Jane). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and son-in-law Brent Spencer. He was predeceased by his daughter Brenda Spencer.
Resting at the Charlottetown Funeral Home until 9:45 Wednesday morning, then to St. Pius X Church for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in the family plot at the Roman Catholic Cemetery. Visiting hours at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 7-9 p.m.

Arthur (Buddy) Eugene Pineau

The death occurred peacefully at the QueenElizabethHospital on Friday, December 7, 2012, of Arthur "Buddy" Pineau of North Rustico, age 91.

Buddy was the beloved husband of Freda Marie (nee Gallant); father of Leroy Pineau and Donna Ward (Richard); stepfather of Edwin (Rose Marie), Ann (Remi), Della (Claude), Carol (Donald), Gary (Carolyn), Brian (Ann Marie), Valerie (John), Kevin (Wendy) and Len (Brent); grandfather of 25 and great-grandfather of 18. 

He was predeceased by his first wife, Marge; an infant daughter, Sally Jude; two sisters, Veronica and Leah; and his parents, Jack and Angelina (Buote) Pineau.

Buddy was a North Nova Scotia Highlander, a veteran of the Second World War and D-Day survivor.

The death occurred surrounded by his family, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, on Tuesday, May 10, 2016, of Donnie Pineau, beloved husband of Noreen Pineau (nee Gallant), of North Rustico, aged 83. 
Donnie was the loving father of John, Dottie (Selwyn) and Anna (Bobby); and special father of Eric Gallant (Gwen), Brian Gallant (Donna) and Darlene Quan. 
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Tyler (Stephanie) and Carter; great-grandson, Grady; niece, Dixie Doiron; numerous brothers and sisters-in-law; and many friends. 
Donnie was predeceased by his parents, Alexander and Julia (Gauthier) Pineau; and sister, Pearl. Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Thursday, May 12, 2016, from 6 to 9 p.m.

The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the QueenElizabethHospital, on Monday, April 14, 2014, of Joseph Pineau, husband of Gloria (nee Doucette) Pineau, of North Rustico, age 87. 

Joseph was the father of Randy, Ronnie, Judy (Darcy), Wayne (Janice), Dale (Sandy) and Shelley (John); grandfather of Allen, Angela (Peter), James (Georgia), Jarod, Cassidy (Steve), Brad (Nathalie), Shelby, Sarah (Ryan), Kerri-Lynn (Matt), Rebecca (Dan), Theresa (John) and Mary; and great-grandfather of Amber, Breanna, William, Aiden, Cameron and Lily. He is also survived by his brother, Arthur (Pauline); sisters, Marie Doiron (Bernard, deceased) and Lillian Parkman (Ralph); sisters-in-law, Norma Gauthier (Herbie) and Germaine Buote (Doug, deceased); and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Joseph was predeceased by his parents, Bruno and Catherine (Gauthier) Pineau; brothers, Mel and Cyril; sisters, Lucy, Olive, Emelia, Edith and Faustina.
